The Hurricane (1999)

What is it about?

From Oscar nominated director Norman Jewison (Moonstruck, In the Heat of the Night) comes a tense biographical drama based on the true story of Rubin ‘Hurricane’ Carter (Oscar winner Denzel Washington), a man who rose up from his troubled childhood to become a boxing champion. However, he loses everything when he is wrongfully convicted of murder. Years later, his story is discovered by a compassionate young teenager, who becomes determined to set him free.
