What is it about?
The album was released in 2014 in honor of João Gilberto and was born from Gil’s dream of releasing an album of just sambas. The recording of the DVD “Gilbertos Samba Ao Vivo” took place on the 1st and 2nd of September. The work features the entire repertoire of the studio album and a few more songs that were included for the show, including the previously unreleased “Rio eu te amo”.
