Glen Or Glenda (1953): Wood’s iconic b-movie starts with the self-inflicted death of a transvestite named Patrick/Patricia. The investigator on the case seeks information from Dr. Alton who tells the tale of Glen, a man who secretly dresses as a woman and struggles with the decision to tell his fiancée Barbara. David Lynch lists ‘Glen or Glenda’ as one of his favorite films.
