Escape from Sobibor (Mini-series, 1987)

What is it about?

During World War II, there was an escape at the infamous death camp in Treblinka. The Commandant at a similar camp in Sobibor vowed that his captives (Jewish laborers spared from the ovens) would never experience the same thing. He underestimated their intelligence, bravery, and strength. On October 14, 1943, they achieved one of the most daring escapes of the war.

Based on a factual account of what happened at Sobibor – a German death camp where 250,000 Jews lost their lives.
